Consumer information on real estate lending

TGIF

A long and eventful week.  PPI came in hotter than expected earlier in the week and so did the CPI reading today.  CPI’s increase was more restrained than that of the PPI which was good news.  Overall, CPI was up 0.4% with the core reading at 0.2%.

The year over year rate held steady at 2.7% which lessened the likelihood of any type of Fed easing in early summer. This means that ARM’s and equity line rates will not be heading any lower in the near future.  If you have an equity line then you want to shop for the absolute lowest margin in the market to further ease your payment burden.  Here at First Horizon, depending on your personal situation, we have margins as low as 1.5% below prime.  Use that as your benchmark when shopping around and feel free to contact me for more information.

Saturday is St Patricks Day and there will be fun and celebration throughout the bay area. The weather is expected to be nice, in teh mid 70’s so get outside and enjoy.  Have you ever wondered what St Patrick’s Day is all about?  Click here for a website that will tell you about everything Gaelic! If your into Livermore wines then head on out to Concannon Vineyards for their Founder’s Day Celebration this weekend. Strange thing about their website – they claim you have to be 21 or older to visit the sight and ask you to input your birth date before you can access the website.  I think it would be pretty easy for someone to get past this security measure (as long as they have math skills)!

Have a great weekend and we’ll be back at it on Monday.
