Some interesting information, some useful information, some useless information:

- Solano County has the dubious honors of leading the state of California in foreclosure filings for the month of February.  In total (as mentioned yesterday) California had a total of 16,273 filings which represented a year over year increase of 79% for the state!  Solano was first, Contra Costa ranked 10th, and Alameda ranked 14th of the states 58 counties.

- The Consumer Confidence reading came in at 107.2 which was lower than the expected 109.

- Lennar Corp (one of the nations largest home builders and the leading developer at Mare Island) announced that first quarter profits were off by 73% and that tyhey did not expect to make 2007 targets.

- Leo Gerstenzang was the inventor of the Q-tip back in the 1920’s. His company name was the Leo Gerstenzang Infant Novelty Company and he originally marketed his creation under the name Baby Gays. In 1926 he changed the name to Q-Tips Baby Gays and eventually the Baby Gays part of the name was dropped to leave the product at what we all know as Q-Tips.  Well what does the Q stand for??????  Quality of course!
