It sounds like it takes at least 2 weeks to gain the benefit to your score. Staying off of the trigger leads and getting less junk mail are very nice benefits too. When I told him I wasn't interested he tried to talk me into a 40 year fixed. I don't think he cared what he sold me just so he sold me something.
